…back at the good ol McKinney Cotton mill for Paige’s bridal session where it’s always guaranteed to get some great shots. The challenge of course for me is taking a different approach each time I shoot there. I love getting new looks out of a tried and true location. Here are a few of my faves.

Marie and Robby posed it up Texas style over in Downtown Fort Worth where their wedding and reception will be later in the Fall. We braved the crazy gale-force winds and the stormy weather forecast. Luckily we stayed clear of the rain and photographed their engagement session at The Fort Worth Club, and Sundance Square.
Here are a few of my faves from their session. More to come soon from their wedding in November.

River-side wedding, a busted photobooth pedal, and the pursuit of a perfect wedding….
Chelsea and Sean are true pros at bringing the party – river side style. Their wedding and reception was held in Canyon Lake, TX just South of Austin, TX at the Hideout on the Horse Shoe; a fantastic venue that overlooks the banks of the Guadalupe River. You could even take a dip in the river waters just a few steps away from the main ceremony area. Luckily the wedding was in early April so I didn’t feel the need to ditch my gear an jump on in but I sure could have.
Spencer Selvidge was on deck to lend a very helpful hand photographing the guys hanging out and getting ready before the ceremony.
The Photobooth (JP Style) was a HUGE hit. I don’t think I’ve seen any other wedding guests more excited than Chelsea and Sean’s crew. I even ended up with a busted photobooth pedal at the end of the night. YIKES! You can imagine the crazy photos it captured.
OK enough talk, Chelsea and Sean congrats!

Ok so a 5-hour engagement session is less than normal. But Mariel and Joey were troopers during their extended session. There were just too many great places they wanted to try out. Including the South Side on Lamar Building. And, they looked great even through to the end modeling like true pros!
Mariel and Joey’s wedding is slated for later in the Fall but until then, here is a look at my faves from their e-session.

So 50+ onlookers during a bridal portrait in the middle of the day at say upper 80 degree heat in a bridal gown is probably not anyone’s idea of a good time I would imagine. Chelsea was a COMPLETE trooper though. I certainly would be whining under those conditions.
Hair dressers, love ya, but you gotta get your stuff together! Start times are set for a reason! They are NOT suggestions.
Ok, that was my 2 second rant. now the pics….

This was probably one of my quickest engagement sessions ever. About an hour in and around The West Village. It didn’t help that it was uber chilly that day. Erin and Nick were troopers though.
I’m looking forward to their wedding in May at
Marie Gabrielle near uptown Dallas. I hear it’s amazing. Now the pics…

How cool was it to shoot with ABC’s True Beauty winner Julia Anderson a few weeks back! It was even better to hear some of the tricks of the trade from some of the photo shoots involving that gooey stuff they poured all over the final 3 contestants for an amazing shoot. Any how, Julia is from Dallas and a very cool person to work with. I’m excited to see all she accomplishes!
