[Engagement]:Erin+Nick

This was probably one of my quickest engagement sessions ever. About an hour in and around The West Village. It didn’t help that it was uber chilly that day. Erin and Nick were troopers though.

I’m looking forward to their wedding in May at Marie Gabrielle near uptown Dallas. I hear it’s amazing. Now the pics…

[Bridal]:Sayeda

Back in December also, Sayeda had her bridal session at the Belo Mansion , built in the 1800’s in Downtown Dallas. This specific photo taken in the Belo Mansion Annex –  the actual reception space is located.

Here’s a couple of my fave’s.

[Bridal]: McKinney Cotton Mill – Sarah

A few months back. Sarah had her bridal portrait session at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. It certainly is an amazing place to snap some bridal fashion images.

Sarah was great of course, especially in the considerable heat taking direction from me and JP who came along for the ride.

Actually there’s an old bike in one of the warehouses that made for a pretty cool photo. I wonder what the story is behind that old thing.

Amazing windows galore. An all around amazing place to shoot. I can’t wait to shoot there again.

The old cotton mill warehouse is a bit of a mess as one might expect, I kind of wish I had a push broom handy to make way for the dragging bridal couture but we improvised of course.

At one point we were switching locations from the top warehouses back down to take photos beside what seems to be this old electronic switch box (photo #4). For some reason there’s a large portion of flooring that is cut out and seems to be a bottomless pit. The only way to get to get across to get to the cool electric switch box is by walking across a plywood makeshift bridge. We probably should have taken the long way around for safety’s sake, but luckily everyone came out of that excursion unscathed. ( I could just see a bride walking across that creeky board and it snapping only to find the bride in her dress splashing in the murky waters below – no bueno!). Any way that was a great place to break out the ring light.

Now the pics.
